Ongoing Ministries
Kids Clubs
The Park at South Birdville is on Highland Ave., just off of Carson Street (South of church). This ministry has been ongoing for over 20 years and we have seen many come to know the Lord from this location. Each year is exciting to see new and old friends as we minister to this community on Tuesday evening starting 5:30.
The Oaks of Jane Lane Kids Club meets in the park behind the apartment complex on Thursdays at 5:30pm. This has been an ongoing ministry for about 20 years.
Rio Vista Apartment is our newest location to allow us to use facility to share the Gospel. Kidz Club meets at 5:30 on Wednesday evening and God has blessed us with large group of kids weekly.
Here are some pictures from our Kidz Club Ministries.
St Nicks Ministry
Ministers to those in our community from Jane Lane, South Birdville, Major Cheney Elementary and Birdville Elementary. Each year NEM is blessed to receive donation from Billmark Corporation Golf tournament which helps provide Christmas for many in our community.
St Nicks is the biggest event NEM is involved with and requires much planning and many volunteers. NEM will start planning for this event in late August and will continue working until gifts are picked up in early December.
Help is always needed with setting up the tree, making angels, shopping, sorting and gifts.
Backpack program
NEM is providing 35 backpacks of food for families in need at Birdville Elementary and Watauga Elementary each month. The distribution has been ongoing and coordinated with staff member at both schools. Birdville Baptist Church has provided food donations and monetary support for this project. BBC youth group donated over 300 lbs. of food from their scavenger hunt one Friday night.
Sunset Gardens Retirement Community
Sunday evenings at 4:00, residents gather for Bible Study. Twice a month on Tuesday I help out with serving breakfast for residents at Sunset Gardens. Those who do not or can not, attend church a CD of Birdville Baptist's Sunday sermon is available.
Volunteer Opportunity
Northeast Ministries is involved with many mission projects. If you would be interested in helping with Kids Club, Backpack program, St. Nicks or feel being led to teach Bible study to senior adults on Sunday evening then I have a place for you to serve.

I have one more apartment complex that wants NEM to start a Kids Club but I do not have the "people" to start this ministries.

This summer NEM lead a team of youth from Birdville Baptist in presenting a summer Good News Club at . If you are interested in helping NEM in any capacity, even if only on a part time basis, please let me know and I will be glad to talk with you.
All of Northeast Ministries funding is made available through mission giving from Birdville Baptist. NEM also receives donations from individuals during the year, and BillMark Corp. provides the biggest donation for the St. Nicks event.
